Precious Moments: Wedding Anniversary
February 5, 2005, 2006, 2006, 2008 and finally......2009.
Four years have passed since my wedding day! Honestly, I'm not really one who celebrates such occasion as I believe, such anniversary and events, can be everyday. You don't have to wait another year, to remember the goodness of someone's birth, a special match, events, etc. You have to appreciate each and everyday and make each and second counts.
Maybe it's because, 2009 is the last year in my twenties. Somehow, I am feeling compel to appreciate this age more :P
We had a good meal at The Mahattan Fish Market, went to shop for a gift before catching The Bride War. And low and behold, surprises awaited us.
During the long wait for a seat, Kel went to get the move tickets (no time is wasted). The manager came up with a tray of drinks and offer it to the customers in the queue! We got two cups of free drinks and within minutes, we also got our seats! The customer service was still good despite the crowd. However, the noise (though typical) could not give me a typically peaceful and romantic meal for a romantic occasion. Nonetheless, food is good, especially the sauce that was used on the prawn (we order a seafood platter for two).
Kel suggested going to Build A Bear to get a pair of bears as our anniversary gift but a pity, we couldn't find a pair that fit us. :( Hopefully, a new Monkey model will arrive and we can complete it with the new sheep that will arrive on 27th!
Walking passed Veeko, the 70% sale tag caught my eyes and I ended up buying two jackets that formerly cost 107 each! (Ha, this shouldn't be part of our celebrations but it will be a waste to reject good sales offer like this! )
Time is almost up for movie (and my blog getting too long now too :P) and, not willing to give up now, I stopped over a precious moments. This reminded me how much I use to love the porcelin figurines, but the price is really steep. However, I wanted something lasting, with long shelf life, symbolic, memorable and......something that we can collect for each year of our wedding anniversary to mark our moments too. And, I love musical boxes..though time is running out, I couldn't run til I get my hand on a piece! See this -->

Ha, so lovely!!! This also reminds me of fond memories. My colleague and friends know I love precious moments (but they were so expensive for a student or young worker to collect) and I will receive them on my birthdays. So lovely.. free gifts!! :P And ones that you love and can treasure.
We bought one, shamelessly declare that that figurines sybolises us (so beautiful) :P and ran to catch the bride wars. Again, I was quite disappointed at first, cos we wanted to get tickets for The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons, but it was sold out. And, seeing two brides fight.. on our celebration didn't seem to fit at all. Ha, but my teary eyes after the show and the memories that were jolted (how my husband and I went through the preparation, and the time and effort my lovely friends took to help us, and celebrate it with us) were just so memorable. I might not have the most grand wedding and a Veera Wang gown (but yes, it is so beautiful too!!!!!!), but, 5th Feb 2005, is and will always be special and great cos of the people who took part in it. :) Thank you everyone, and thanks again for making it so special.
Now, I'm really eager to get another figurine for our fifth year wedding anniversay but another year has to pass :P It seemed like I'm really going to get the hang of life appreciation as I move towards the "3" ;)
